We will act to protect people experiencing family violence. We will investigate every report we receive.

We will do several things to help increase your safety before we attend a report of family violence, while we are there, and after we leave.

  • the location and people involved (including a National Police Reference System check)
  • if there has been past family violence, including any intervention orders in place
  • if firearms are known to be at the location
  • if people involved are known to have access to firearms.
