National Police Remembrance Day honours the dedicated police officers who have died in the line of duty.
Victoria Police and the community pay their respects to the officers who have lost their lives over the past 12 months while serving their community.
National Police Remembrance Day is observed on 29 September.
The Blue Ribbon Foundation also holds Victoria's Blue Ribbon Day on the same date.
National Police Remembrance Day 2025 services
The Melbourne National Police Remembrance Day march and service will be held on Monday, 29 September 2025.
The march will commence at Princes Bridge at 10am and proceed down the St Kilda Road service lane to the Victoria Police Memorial.
A remembrance service will then be held at the Victoria Police Memorial from 10.20am to 11.20am.

Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance
The Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance is an annual event. It is a national ride from police memorials around the country to the National Police Memorial in Canberra.
Riders head to Canberra's National Police Memorial to remember their mates who have fallen.
Raise money for Police Legacies
The Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance raises money for Police Legacies across Australia.
Victoria Police Legacy (VPL) use money donated to it to support police families in Victoria who have lost a partner or parent.

Victoria Police Memorial
The National Police Remembrance Day Melbourne service is held at the Victoria Police Memorial.
Opened in 2002 the Victoria Police Memorial is situated in Kings Domain Gardens, Melbourne.
It stands as an ongoing dedication and reminder of the service provided by those killed in the line of duty.
