I would say that it's a front row seat to the best show on Earth. You do something different every day. You have a sense of purpose and belonging.

I just love speaking to people. I just love being a part of the community and being able to help where I can, listen to their stories. The balance I've had in my job is that I've been operational for a number of years and now I'm in a corporate role.

My role currently is within the Road Policing Command, so I work closely with other road safety partners to reduce the road toll and improve driver behaviour. I work generally business hours in an office. It's a corporate role at the moment.

There is, however, options to work at certain events and be out on the road and interacting with people in the community.

It's given me so many different areas to work in and no day is ever the same, which is such a good thing.

I’ve experienced really good management and learned from them and tailored my management and leadership style by those leaders that have looked after me and supported me and to be able to do that to the next generation of leaders, our newer police members is really satisfying.

I feel really proud to put the uniform on every day. As soon as I do, I feel that I have a really important role to play within the community.

I do get excited thinking about my future because there's so much to do.

There's so many areas where I could go and learn new skills and continue to be challenged and it makes me proud and excited to come to work every day.
